Maintaining their supremacy in the East Zone Cricket Tournament for Visually Impaired, Odisha won the title for the fifth time in a row, trouncing West Bengal by 104 runs in the final at Mecon Stadium in Ranchi today.
Pankaj Bhue once again starred in Odisha win, hitting 65-ball 113. He was adjudged man of the tournament in B2 category. Odisha qualified for the final, winning all four of their league matches.
Odisha captain Mohammad Jafar Iqbal and Sukhram Majhi were named man of the tournament in B1 and B3 categories respectively. Being the East Zone champions, Odisha qualified to compete in the 22nd National Cricket tournament for Visually Impaired to be held at Kochi in December this year.

Nov 4 (League match): Odisha 153/10 in 15 overs (Sukhram Majhi 34, Md Jafar Iqbal 30, Nakul Gadanayak 23) beat Jharkhand 60/10 in 12.3 overs (Tapan Gauda 3 wkts, Md Jafar Iqbal 1 wkt) by 93 runs.
Nov 5 (League match): Odisha 249/0 in 15 overs (Sukhram Majhi 121 n.o, Pankaj Bhue 104 n.o) beat Tripura 37/10 in 8.1 overs (Pankaj Bhue 2 wkts, Sukhram Majhi, Md Jafar Iqbal, Tapan Gauda, Kalia Pradhan and Lalatendu Mahanta 1 wkt each) by 212 runs.
Nov 5 (League match): Odisha 184/1 in 15 overs (Biswanath Khara 89, Nakul Badanayak 78 n.o) beat Bihar 36/9 in 15 overs (Nakul Badanayak 3 wkts, Md Jafar Iqbal 2 wkts) by 148 runs.
Nov 6 (League match): Odisha 173/3 in 20 overs (Pankaj Bhue 103 n.o, Md Jafar iqbal 44) beat Bengal 86/6 in 20 overs (Nakul Gadanayak 3/6, Sukhram Majhi and Tapan Kumar Gouda 1 wkt each) by 87 runs.
Nov 7 (Final): Odisha 229/6 in 20 overs (Pankaj Bhue 113, Lalprasad Soren 65) beat West Bengal 125/6 in 20 overs (Md Jafar Iqbal, Sukhram Majhi, Pankaj Bhue, Kalia Pradhan 1 wkt each) by 104 runs.
